CBD Isolate: Everything You Need to Know

CBD Isolate: Everything You Need to Know

CBD, otherwise known by its scientific name cannabidiol, has become one of America’s biggest health crazes. While it is now available in a variety of different forms, CBD isolate powder is one of the available forms in the raw material market. This growth in popularity is primarily due to the fact that cannabidiol isolate is one of the most potent CBD supplements that are available on the market. Let’s take a deep dive into different aspects of this isolate here so you can decide if it is the right choice for you!

WHAT IS CBD ISOLATE?

CBD isolate is exactly what it sounds like: Isolated cannabidiol. As a matter of fact, all properly manufactured CBD isolate contains 99 percent CBD or higher. It is usually formulated in a white, semi-translucent crystalline powder. While cannabidiol isolate is pure, it doesn’t contain any of the other cannabinoids, terpenes, phytonutrients, or other elements that are found in many types of other CBD supplements.

HOW TO MAKE CBD ISOLATE?

Almost all CBD products (including isolate crystals) that you see on the market are created through the same extraction procedure initially. However, in order to yield such a pure end product, CBD isolate requires the use of additional filtering processes. This is because the end product of this initial extraction will likely contain a variety of different ingredients (such as chlorophyll and other waxes/oils) that will need to be eliminated in order to become 99% pure CBD isolate crystal.

The initial “crude” CBD extract yielded from the first extraction method will be filtered multiple times in order to remove as much unwanted, hemp plant material as possible. After these steps, a purification method that is commonly known as “winterization” is used in order to eliminate the undesired oils, waxes, and any remaining plant material completely out of the extract. At this point, the filtering equipment will be left with a white, crystalline isolate powder that is made up of over 99% pure CBD!

WHAT IS CBD ISOLATE USED FOR?

CBD isolate is primarily used for a dietary supplement. Studies indicate that cannabidiol can be quite effective at eliminating inflammation throughout the body. This means that a regular supplementation regimen with CBD isolate can help your digestive system to more easily eliminate toxins and keep your entire body healthier overall.

Since cannabidiol positively affects the endocannabinoid system within our human bodies, it can help regulate hormone production as well and bring your body back to a balanced, homeostatic state. CBD is also well-known for having a soothing and relaxing effect for many people. This is why isolated cannabidiol can be used to help people relieve anxiety, stress, or insomnia.

HOW TO USE CBD ISOLATE?

Luckily for your customers, CBD isolate is extremely easy and flexible to use. As a result of its incredible purity, CBD isolate powders are completely tasteless and odorless. This allows your buyers to use it in a variety of ways. Here are some great ways to get your daily CBD isolate dosage:

  1. Ingest CBD isolate sublingually (put it under your tongue)

By far, this is the easiest way to use CBD crystals. Let your customers know that it is as simple as taking a small pinch of their isolate and placing it under their tongue. This should be quite easy for them since properly made CBD isolate will have no flavor at all. If they hold the powder under their tongues for at least 60 seconds and allow it to completely dissolve into the mucous membranes beneath the tongue, cannabidiol will quickly enter their bloodstream.

  1. Mix CBD isolate with a beverage

Almost everyone has a favorite go-to daily drink (even if it is just water). One of the easiest ways to maintain a regular CBD regimen is to mix isolate powder with a drink that is ingested habitually. Cannabidiol crystals will dissolve easily into any hot or cold beverage. Your customers can try it with their coffees, teas, sodas, smoothies, and juices!

  1. Mix CBD isolate with various oils

Your customers can make their own custom products if they mix their isolates with certain oils. If they want to make edible oil, they can mix their CBD powder with olive, MCT, or grapeseed oil. They can cook or bake with this oil, but let them know that if temperatures during preparation get too hot, the CBD can get damaged and lose its potency. They should know to keep it under 350 degrees Fahrenheit and they should be fine.

This edible oil can also be administered sublingually. On top of these uses, CBD isolate can be mixed with coconut oil to make a fabulous topical cream.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD ISOLATE VS FULL SPECTRUM CBD?

As a wholesale buyer of CBD products, you have certainly seen many supplements labeled as a full spectrum cannabidiol item. But, what does that mean exactly? Are CBD isolates considered a full spectrum supplement?

Let’s keep in mind that the CBD that is legal in all 50 states of the US, is extracted from the hemp plant. While many people are starting to get familiar with hemp due to the growing popularity of cannabidiol in general, they mistakenly believe that hemp plants only contain the CBD cannabinoid. However, that is not true.

Hemp plants do indeed produce copious amounts of CBD, but they also produce a variety of other cannabinoids and terpenes. They even produce very small amounts of THC (otherwise known as tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the compound in cannabis that causes its infamous psychoactive effects (high)!

Full spectrum CBD products are hemp-derived supplements that have trace amounts of THC, other cannabinoids, and terpenes in them. So, obviously, CBD isolates are not considered full spectrum because these crystalline supplements are made up of only cannabidiol. While some people feel as if they get better overall results when using full spectrum products, it should be noted that the small amount of THC in some brands can be problematic for some individuals.

Even though all CBD supplements that are legal in the United States contain only 0.3 percent of THC or less, a buildup of this compound can occur within the body. It will still be extremely difficult to get “high” with such a low amount of tetrahydrocannabinol, but in some cases, regular full spectrum CBD supplement use could trigger a positive drug test.

This is why CBD isolates are so popular with individuals who work jobs that require them to be absolutely free of THC, such as police officers, medical professional, airport workers, and military service members.
